Avatar and fold settings

LinkedIn does not publish its fold rules. The default cut is 3 lines with "…more", measured on the rendered text, so it follows the real line wraps on mobile and desktop. Treat it as a close approximation.

How it works

Where LinkedIn cuts long posts

The feed shows the first few lines and hides the rest behind …more. LinkedIn does not publish the exact rule. This tool cuts after 3 lines, measured on the rendered text, so it follows the real line wraps on mobile and desktop. You can change the number of lines in the settings.

How images are laid out

Images run the full width of the card. One image keeps its own shape within limits, two sit side by side, and three or more show one large image on top with up to three below. When there are more, the last one shows +N.

How characters are counted

Up to 3,000 characters. The counter shows how close you are.

Your post stays private

No. The text and images stay in your browser. Your draft is saved locally so it survives a reload, and it carries over to the X Timeline Preview.
